FRIDAY 30th JULY
(1) On Friday afternoon, part of St. Helens Green, Harwich will be open for spectators to view a selection of the boats which will be racing throughout the weekend. Come and choose your favourite class – talk to the drivers, and enjoy the carnival party atmosphere. Refreshment facilities will be available.
(2) A star studded concert will begin in Cliff Park at aprox 5 pm. Tickets for the concert will need to be purchased in advance. Kaz from Kiss FM radio Breakfast Show will be presenting the Friday concert. Please see Concert Page for more details.
At close of concert approximately 10.55 pm there will be a musical fireworks extravaganza from a barge moored in Dovercourt Bay to celebrate the opening of the powerboat racing.

Cliff Park will come alive with entertainment for the whole family including colourful Samba music displays, fun fair, bungee catapult, simulators, trade and craft stalls, unique exhibits, beer tents, vodka bars, and a plethora of food delicacies to name but a few.
The Powerboat racing and the days events are FREE.

The entertainment in Cliff Park, with all the stalls, food, and displays will remain on the Sunday, and there will be the powerboat winners Continental and National Awards Ceremony on stage with champagne and press interviews at approximately 5.00 p.m.

Ensign Craft Ltd is proud to bring to Harwich the European and British National Powerboat championships.
Classes racing will include:- European Offshore 3C
- V24
- Offshore 3B & 3C

- OCR (Offshore Circuit Racing)

- Marathon
- and others
A weekend of fun and thrills on and off the water. As well as watching the drivers in their spectacular boats showing off their skills, there will be plenty of family entertainment in Cliff Park, Dovercourt, including a variety of unique exhibits, a fun fair, trade stands, stalls, superior refreshment tents, a beer tent, and a whole host of delicacies ranging from burgers to exotic food. Listen to the edge of your seat live commentary as the boats scream past in excess of 70 mph provided by the world renowned Peter Butler, the voice of powerboat racing worldwide.
The weekend will be filmed for TV purposes, and has already attracted a host of media attention. We are bringing back the glitz and glamour to seaside towns, with the spectacular powerboat racing, and the star studded names for the music concerts, and of course, the gorgeous pit girls!
There is a Park and Ride scheme for ease of car parking, and the shuttle buses will also meet the extra trains at Dovercourt train station (the train timetables will be announced on the website nearer the time).
On the Friday evening, after the concert, there will be a fantastic fireworks display launched from a barge in the middle of the bay. The powerboat racing and the days events are FREE, it is only the 2 concerts where tickets must be purchased in advance, see Concert page.
